We are off to a great start with the Holiday Share Card with over $1,000 towards local scholarships for students pursuing medical related fields of post-grad study.

It's time to make sure your name is in the Holiday Share Card that goes to all 300+ SJC physicians! Print & mail your donation to St Johns County Medical Alliance for the scholarship fund. All money raised goes to scholarshps for high school students pursuing education in medical fields after high school. Let us do the work for you! It's our only fundraiser for this purpose & a good cause!

Our  2017 scholarship recipients:

Emily Lube, Kiana Rahimi, Anjela Gurrala, Jayachandra Kuru and Sycora Benavides attend the University of Florida.
Sarah Lewis attends the University of South Florida.
Kaitlin Hains is at Old Miss, Caroline Jones is at Vanderbilt and Adam Snowden at Duke University.

Our scholars receiving continued funding include:

Jensen Thompson and Matthew Guthrie, currently at the University of Florida; Cynthia Hund, who is at Clemson University and Hunter Green who started medical school at the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine in the Fall.

SJCMA Wellness Walk St. Johns 2017

Flagler Hospital

March 17th @ 10:00am

We will meet outside the doors of the hospital cafeteria (use entrance off of US 1). From there we will make our "Wellness Walk" around the hospital campus. Wellness Walks are a focus of the State FMAA this year & participation is county by county, We will share our involvement to the state with picture to social media & all will receive a free tee shirt!

Join us for a healthy lunch afterwards at Hyppo Cafe!

2016 Alliance Scholarships

The St. Johns County Medical Alliance has awarded academic scholarships to St. Johns County high school graduates pursuing their education in a medical related field of study.

Every year, the St. Johns County Medical Alliance, in conjunction with the St. Johns County Medical Society, offers academic scholarships to graduating St. Johns County high school seniors pursuing an education in pre-medicine, nursing, or allied health. Scholarship applicants are evaluated on academic ability, school involvement, financial need and community service.

The Alliance offers continued support for previously awarded scholars that continue their studies in a medical field, maintain at least a 3.0 GPA and keep in contact with the Alliance.  Matthew Guthrie, a former award winner, will receive funding for continuation of his studies at the University of Florida (not pictured).

This year’s awards have been presented to: Jensen Thompson of Bartram Trail High School, who will attend the University of Florida to study Biology on a pre-med tract to follow her interests in pediatric cardiology and Cynthia Hund of St. Joseph Academy, who plans to pursue a pre-med major in Biology at Clemson University.

The St. Johns County Medical Alliance is comprised of spouses of St. Johns County physicians. Its purpose is to promote health education, identify and address health-care needs and issues, participate in health-related legislation, and provide college scholarships to St. Johns County students. St. John's County Medical Alliance Scholarship 

 The St. Johns County Medical Alliance offers scholarships to graduating St. Johns County high school seniors pursuing an education in pre-medicine, nursing, or allied health. 

Applicants must reside in St. Johns County and plan to begin a program of study in the fall of 2016 at an accredited institution. This includes a four year college or university or a two year community or junior college. Scholarship applicants are evaluated on academic ability, school involvement, community service, and financial need. None of these categories are self-limiting.
