The Entrusted Fund of the FMA Alliance raises funds to support:

  • FMA Alliance grants for county alliances
  • Medical student scholarships
  • Programs that help impaired individuals & protect against untreated impairments

Holiday Wonderland Boutique

The St. Johns County Medical Alliance hosted its Holiday Wonderland Boutique on Tuesday, November 16 at Flagler Hospital.

The preholiday shopping event offered an array of retail vendors, chance drawings, and holiday inspired beverages and snacks. Proceeds from the event benefit St. Johns County Medical Alliance Health Projects.

St. Johns County Medical Alliance Receives Awards at the 2010 Florida Medical Association Alliance Annual Meeting

The Florida Medical Association Alliance awarded the St. Johns County Medical Alliance three 2010 FMA Alliance Award of Excellence recognitions. The awards were announced at the FMA Alliance Annual Meeting in Orlando on August 13.

First Place Community Service Award; Best Adult Oriented Program: Doctors’ Day/SAVE (Stop America’s Violence Everywhere) Awareness.

Second Place County Fund Raiser Award: Champagne and Chocolate Holiday Boutique

Third Place Community Service Award: Best Youth Oriented Program, Ask For It (Immunizations)

St. Johns County Medical Alliance Awards Academic Scholarships to Local Students

The St. Johns County Medical Alliance recently awarded academic scholarships to three graduating St. Johns County high school seniors pursuing an education in a medical related field of study.

Three $1,000 scholarships were awarded to the following students:
  • Alexander Litvintchouk from Pedro Menendez High School, will study pre-medicine at the University of Florida
  • Leanne Hamame from St. Joseph Academy, will study nursing at the University of Central Florida.
  • Cori Talbot from St. Augustine High School, will study pre-medicine at the University of Florida.
Each year, the St. Johns County Medical Alliance, in conjunction with the St. Johns County Medical Society, offers academic scholarships to graduating St. Johns County seniors pursuing an education in pre-medicine, nursing, or allied health. Scholarship applicants are evaluated on academic ability, school involvement, and community service.

The St. Johns County Medical Alliance represents spouses of St. Johns County physicians. Its purpose is to promote health education, identify and address health-care needs and issues, participate in health-related legislation, and provide college scholarships to St. Johns County students.
